07/11/2010: "Fall Conference Registration is Open"

This is going to prove to be a very well attended event as many members are anxious not only for the great presentations and networking, but to visit New Orleans! Many are also bringing friends and family to party down Bourbon Street.

Our topic scope is broad and will cover an array of “hot” issues.

- “Spend Money – Make Money” will explore radio, television, and internet marketing and advertising forums where investing hard earned income can ensure the best exposure for your business.
- Dr. Gustavo Colon, world renowned plastic surgeon will discuss surgical intervention issues for the permanent cosmetic professional. Also known as the King of Comedy in the plastic surgery arena and recipient of the “Big Easy Laugh Off”, he will entertain with his antics and amusing surgery stories
- “Union of Artistry” – Permanent makeup, cosmetic surgery, and traditional makeup combine for a symbiotic relationship. Audience participation
- “Variable Eyeliner – Shapes & Shades”
- Dr. Erin Boh, Dermatologist – Anatomy & Physiology of Skin. Understanding tattoo ink/pigment, where it goes into the skin to stay and why it stays. Dispelling the myths of semi-permanent tattooing and other skin related issues
- “Staples of the Business” Everything you need to have for the permanent cosmetic business, both in and out of the procedure room
- “The Art of Posing” – A popular photographer’s in depth study of angles, lighting, positioning to capture the perfect pre and post procedure photographs.

This is an exciting and crucial collection with topics of interest to everyone in the permanent cosmetic business. These sessions and speakers are designed to exceed your educational needs and are what you have come to expect from the SPCP. We will also offer the undisputable SPCP Bloodborne Pathogens Standards Course & Exam presented by the Health Educators team.
We have some great New Orleans fun on our agenda, custom planned just for our members. On Saturday night at the networking reception, we will feast on some of those delectable dishes Nawlins has become so famous for: jambalaya, crawfish pie, file gumbo! We will kick it up a notch with a Cajun/zydeco dance team and join in for our own lessons. After our reception, the night is yours. Take a stroll along the Mississippi River, delight in the ole French Market, sip a Hurricane in Pat O’Brien’s while listening to the dueling pianos or maybe a corner table in Preservation Hall for the sounds of jazz, rhythm and blues, All of this and so much more await you. The piece de resistance might just be, however, a walking “haunted” tour of the French Quarter on Sunday evening. New Orleans is considered the second most paranormal activity center in the United States, second only to Savannah.

You will all “want to be in that number” on September 25th and 26th for SPCP Fall Conference. After just a short time in this amazing town, you too will understand why New Orleans is also known as “The City That Care Forgot.” Channel your own inner spirit or that of someone else, but one thing’s for sure: you will have the time of your life while experiencing this year’s SPCP Fall Conference, 2010 in one of America’s most vibrant cities. Attendance is limited so make your reservations now by calling the SPCP office at 847/635-1330 or register online at www.spcp.org.
