Laser
Procedures and Permanent Cosmetics |
Bethany Cirlin
will be presenting a basic study on laser procedures aka Lasers 101. It will
cover various laser types and their uses including IPL’s, CO2, Fraxel, Skin
Rejuvenation/Tightening and laser tattoo removal. She will discuss the
procedure basics, realistic expectations, healing times, and the
relationship our industry has to the laser industry; how our procedures
affect laser and how laser affects our procedures.

Cirlin
Bethany is a New York State licensed esthetician, a certified laser
specialist, and a permanent cosmetic technician. As owner and operator of
The Laser Spa, a full service medispa, and Forever Yours Esthetics, she
deals with all aspects of skin care and stays privy to the newest techniques
and treatments with laser, skin care, and permanent cosmetics. Bethany is
also a volunteer trainer for the American
Cancer Society’s, Look Good Feel Better program that provides support to
woman who have recently completed radiation and/or chemotherapy.

Hector has been in the Permanent Make-Up industry since 1996. He has been
invited as a speaker to several Esthetical Medicine, Beauty and Permanent
Make-Up International Conferences in Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, Puerto Rico,
Dominican Republic, and the USA. He has translated several books and
articles about this industry. Hector is the CEO of the Micropigmentation
Research & Training Institute in Mexico City and is the SPCP Delegate for
Mexico. He is well recognized as our IT expert by those who attend SPCP
events.

Kieran X. Bastible, an Associate of Meyer, Suozzi, English & Klein,
P.C.’s Litigation and Dispute Resolution department, joined the firm in
August 2004. His substantive practice areas include contract and commercial
actions, health care law, professional partnerships disputes, wrongful
termination, employment discrimination claims, securities and insurance law.
Mr. Bastible is a member of the New York State Bar Association, and received
his from Syracuse University and his B.A. from State University of New York

facets of performing procedures on, dealing with, and relating to the Silent
Generation. Vast differences and surprising similarities between the younger
and more mature client will be identified. The anatomy and physiology of the
aging skin process will be presented to better understand our canvas.
Medications and health issues will be presented; as well as the emotional
state, personality, and mental status which all meld together to affect

With a background in nursing, Lillian has been performing permanent cosmetic
procedures since 1991, has served on the SPCP Board of Directors, and is
currently a Trainer Member. She has appeared on TV and radio, and has been
featured in many news articles. Lillian has spoken at numerous gatherings,
including SPCP conventions, American Society of Plastic Surgical Nurses,
Dermatology Nurses Association and the ASAPS & ASERF. Lillian has been
presented several awards, her favorite being, the distinguished service
award presented by the SPCP. |

Bloodborne Pathogens
Standards Course |

of the conference at no additional cost to attendees, this is by far the
most comprehensive, industry specific Bloodborne pathogens program available
for permanent cosmetic professionals. The OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Standard
will be covered, with an emphasis on needlestick guidelines, Hepatitis B
vaccinations requirements, information on MRSA, exposure control plan

LiZa Sims,
CPCP
At age twenty-eight, self-employed with her own Civil Engineering firm, LiZa
first heard of permanent eyeliner. A doctor performed her eyeliner
under anesthesia, used metal eyelid clamps that caused profuse bleeding,
swelling and bruising. But, even with the discomfort, she was eager to have
permanent eyeliner! The rest is history – LiZa has been an advocate of this
industry since 1987 and is a highly regarded SPCP Trainer Member as well as
serving on the SPCP Board as the Communications Director. |

Ciampi, CPCP
Kate has been in the permanent cosmetics industry since 1991 and owns a
tattoo studio, Perfection Dermagraphics, in the Chicago suburbs. As a
specialty trainer and consultant, she teaches advanced full lip classes on a
regular basis worldwide. She has a background in nursing as a cardiology
department administrator. Kate served on the SPCP Board of Directors from
1994-1998 as President and Secretary.
She later served as Convention and Trainer Coordinator, and is now the
current Executive Director, operating the SPCP main office in Des Plaines,
Illinois. |
