Oversight Body: There does not appear to be statewide regulation of permanent cosmetics at this time.  Check locally for county or city regulations.

Legislative info available on this site: In a nutshell, the only related regulations we were able to find at this time were in regards to cosmetologists and states that implanting pigment into the skin is prohibited in a location being regulated by the board of cosmetology.

NEVADA ADMINISTRATIVE CODE
CHAPTER 644. COSMETOLOGY
COSMETOLOGICAL ESTABLISHMENTS

NRS 644.470  Treatment by X ray prohibited; application or implantation of certain substances prohibited; penalty.  Nothing in this chapter:

      1.  Authorizes the use of any X-ray machine in the treatment of the scalp or in the removal of superfluous hair; or

      2.  Permits the local application of carbolic acid or corrosive sublimates or their derivatives or compounds, salicylic acid, resorcinol, or any other corrosive substance for the purpose of peeling skin. Any implantation of permanent pigment into the skin is prohibited.

Ê A violation of the provisions of this section constitutes a misdemeanor.

441A.285 Use of precautions in managing bodily fluids in certain facilities.
In medical facilities, schools, child care facilities, correctional facilities and facilities which perform body piercing or tattooing, exposure to blood, semen, vaginal secretions, saliva, urine, feces, respiratory secretions and other body fluids must be managed in accordance with universal precautions and blood and body fluid precautions.
