SPCP Supports Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Much is going on with SPCP during October in honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Members can watch for the upcoming PC Buzz as SPCP Director Jeanine McTasney, CPCP writes about her experiences…”I listen to the stories my brave clients share and travel down their path as we walk together reflecting on their journey. I often wonder if there is something more I can do to educate myself or share with others.” These are the sentiments shared by many Society of Permanent Cosmetic Professionals members. She goes on to share, “there are many sophisticated lab tests and new mammography updates often. We can be proactive ourselves within the privacy of our own homes. The bare bones basic is the breast self-exam.”

Jeanine provides a link from Dr. John West who is a frequent guest on the Dr. Oz show. He has created a foundation called Be Aware. On the site there is a 9-minute video demonstration of the breast self-exam. All are urged to view it and conduct your own examination.
