Pre-Convention Classes

Train the Trainer by Shanan Zickefoose, BSN, RN, CPCP on Thursday March 28 and Friday morning, March 29. If you have been in the industry for five years and are thinking about training, you will need this class.
Bloodborne Pathogens Class by Laurna Marika. This will run concurrently with the second day of Train the Trainer on Friday. Attendees who are taking the CPCP exam find this class very helpful to prepare for the exam for this area of study.
Specialty Class: An Afternoon with Selen Shenalp! The highlight of pre-convention classes will be held on Friday afternoon featuring world-renowned brow specialist, Selen Shenalp. You will not want to miss this opportunity – when she comes to the US, her classes fill very quickly. She has mastered her own technique of blending the finest hair strokes with powdering, creating natural looking eyebrows, or using different colors to achieve a 3D look to complement and enhance each individual face. Selen has named her technıque, Interlockıng Haırstrokes.

Amazing Day, Saturday…

Keynote Speaker Presentation by Marjorie Grimm, CPCP is a must attend to start the day, as she shares her wit and wisdom, while divulging some secrets you will not want to miss.
Exhibitor Room and Exhibitor Presentations will fill the remainder of the day. You will not want to miss their show specials.
Networking Reception – We are going to be Rockin’ the 80’s so dress to the decade or dress up a T-shirt to the SPCP – you choose! Whatever you do, be sure to have fun!

Focus on Education main events start on Sunday and Monday!

Speakers and Topics include:
Working with Male Clients by Tamara Ferrigno, CPCP. This presentation will focus on brow and eyeliner work.
Needle Mapping – Map your way to needle choices by Jill Hoyer, CPCP. We are fortunate to have the benefit of years of research presented and just the Needle Map handout alone is worth attendance!
Managing the Claims Risk is presented by Stephanie Petras, ARM, a claims analyst, who has over thirty years’ experience and eight years handling claims for our industry.
Tricks and Tools – Work without pain! features Lynn Van Norman who will help us keep in shape from the physical stress caused by our work.
STOP the spread of Infections – It’s on our hands! is presented by a favorite SPCP speaker, Ray Ranger. Cross-contamination is something that still causes confusion for many.
Reclaiming Beauty! is presented by Shauna Magrath, CPCP, She will discuss hair loss in women and how scalp tattooing instantly creates the illusion of hair density.
Mastermind Session hosted by April Meese, CPCP provides a chance for you to ask a question for peer brainstorming, and to get advice from your fellow professionals.
Corrections: Our Biggest Challenge by Sarah Hummel, CPCP. Discover how she reshapes brows, chooses color correctors, layers target colors, and works with scar tissue.
